Life Transitions & Change

There you are happily going along in life and BANG! Change comes along. There’s nothing evil about change but it can create a minefield of emotions and a barrage of thoughts that keep you up at night. Change can bring about anxiety, confusion, grief, anger, hurt, fear, and self-doubt. No one is safe, and no one knows how hard it is for you. Life counselling can help you get through this!

The Challenge of Change

Change is hard! Especially when you don’t feel you’re in control of what’s happening. There’s no doubt that life transitions can be complex and difficult to deal with, but often we choose to keep our struggles to ourselves. We can appear on top of it all, but inside, there’s turmoil.

Although changes can be positive, negative, planned, or unexpected, they all mean that the life that we knew will be different. You may be struggling with making a decision, sorry you made a decision, not sure how to cope, or just finding it all overwhelming. You may feel scared about the future.

When something different is entering our life, there’s a natural apprehension about how our new life will be. Sometimes we just feel more comfortable with the devil we know.

Moving Forward

Through life transition counselling, we can take a close look at what’s happening, what your fears are, and what resources and strengths you hold. With this knowledge, we can help you move forward with more confidence and positivity. Ultimately, these life transitions are an opportunity to assess the direction your life is taking and see what outcomes you really want.

As they say, “When one door closes, another one opens”. Every change really is an opportunity to learn and grow. Change is then much easier when you feel you’re back in the driver’s seat.
